Flirt

I got these pictures up at Ankeny's (the coffee shop). One of James' girlfriends just opened up a scrap-booking store there and he was charming her in these photos. He is quite the flirt. Not at all intimidated by her fiance!

Tattoo

Miles was coloring and seemed to be getting more marker on his hands than the paper. So without thinking it through, I decided we should color on his legs. What a fun mom I am!! He was so proud of his tattoos. We walked up to the coffee shop and had to show them off. His markers of course are washable, so the artwork disappeared at bath time. Well, since then (I believe it was Thursday) he's colored on himself everyday. He's moved on from just his hands and legs. Today he colored himself a blue mustache and purple beard. Beautiful!

Life...

I love being back at work.

I'm a much more pleasant person.

And a better mom.

Although I still wish there were more time.

More time to spend with the boys.

More time with Ben.

More time to dabble in my hobbies.

I am quickly learning that there is no slowing down.

So I'm juggling.

Family, friends, work, self.

Ben, the boys, and I go for family walks after supper.

I'm going on a road trip to who-knows-where with my girlfriend Erin.

I'm back at work with less hours.

And I'm using my "Wednesday Ladies Night" for scrapping and photography.

I love my busy life.

I love my generous husband.

I love my handyman Miles and ticklish James.

I love our messy home.

I love our small town.

I love my faithful friends.

I love my rewarding career.

I love my honest camera.

I love my neglected scraping nook.

I love my busy life!

5 years

Happy Anniversary!

Ben and I have been married 5 years today!

I never dreamt we be where we are today.

Two beautiful boys, a huge 3 level home, 2 cats, and talking about buying a minivan!!

I wouldn't change anything! I love our life and I love you.

Inspiration

In typical mommy fashion, my boys are my biggest photo inspirations. I could, and probably will, take millions of pictures of them. I recently started playing with Adobe Photoshop, tons of fun but lots to learn. I think I'm ready to share, so ENJOY!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this photo! We took Miles to the Eagle's Nest (a huge indoor playground) and I got this shot while he was playing in the balls. Pretty lucky to get it, he currently does not want me taking pictures of him.

I was playing around with lighting here. We had tons of sunlight coming in the window, so I turned to flash off to get this shot. Pure concentration, you can tell because the tongue's peaking out!
